Glendower Golf Club was founded in 1937 and it is well-known by the beautiful golf course fairways, dense barriers and good greens. The region was declared a nature reserve in 1973. Opened 2 years, then it hosted the famous Transvaal Open and 1987, 1993 and 1997 South African Open was also held here. The transformation in 1980, all the greens are re-settings, adjusting the water barriers, and increased tee. Glendower Golf Course with 18-hole golf course par 72 is South Africa's most challenging golf course. It has fairway bunkers 85 clouds, 18 holes, 11 holes have water hazards, and the most famous is the first 9 holes and 508 Code 2 of the hole. Glendower Golf course has great driving range, practice area swing back in the club, club in front of a putting green.
