Oakland Hills (South)

Oakland Hills Country Club is located in the rolling burghfield Michigan mountains, composed of two courses from the north and south. The South course was undoubtedly more famous.
Donald Ross designed and built the South course in 1917. Before the U.S. Open in 1951, Robert Trent Jones has modified on the south golf course. Oakland Hills Country Club is an important part of golf history of United States, and it has inextricably linked to legendaryWalter Hagen. He was the court's first chief professional players. In the South Course crowned U.S. Open champion, Hagen evaluate himself "surrender a monster under my feet." Since then, The Monster as a synonym for the new South course and spreads like wildfire.
Before 2008 PGA Championship, Rees Jones has conducted a series of renovations on the South Course. In addition to some key bunker, the course length exceeded 7300 yards. Oakland Hills again as the "monster" appears in the "Grand Slam". The renewed South course is crueler.
Oakland Hills Country Club has undergone 16 sessions of "Grand Slam" and the term "Ryder Cup" tests. This is definitely the most fair of the Earth golf course.
