Royal Birkdale is a good links course, is one of my favorite venues, and also one of the best watching the game golf course. The first designer of Birkdale is George Low. It was completed in 1889. But Fred G. Hawtree ,the designer of well-known British golf construction company Hawtree and Taylor completely changed the direction of the hole, and the golf course has been redesigned. Fred W. Hawtree created a new 12-hole par three hole. In 1991 rebuilt many greens for some holes and some were modified in the profile. The most obvious example is the 5th hole and 17th hole.
