Northern Ireland's Rory McIlroy will try to move further past his Masters collapse this week as he returns to a scene of triumph at Quail Hollow.
McIlroy posted a final-round 62 here last year, taming one of the most difficult courses on the US circuit for his first American victory.
He was just days shy of his 21st birthday when he notched the impressive win, using a late second-round eagle to make the cut then posting his sparkling final round to beat Phil Mickelson by four strokes.
Unfortunately, his return to Carolina marks his first tournament in the United States since Augusta, and his 2010 breakthrough has been less discussed than his Masters breakdown.
With a four-shot lead, McIlroy appeared to have the first major title of his career within reach last month, but finished by equalling the worst score by a third-round leader at the Masters.
